Criminal Background Check Criteria Finally Eased for Koreans

Koreans no longer have to suffer from restless nights worrying about their elapsed criminal record. IRCC has finally lowered the bar regarding the criminal background check for Korean nationals. Now, they can submit a criminal (investigation) records check report showing “For permission of foreign country immigration and stay”, which means an elapsed criminal record is no longer revealed. In general, imprisonment for less than 3 years elapses after 5 years and detailed history is only shared with individuals concerned in Korea.
