What is CRS?
In 2014, the Canadian government introduced the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), points-based system to select more competitive candidates for immigration to Canada. Under this system, Immigration candidates in the Express Entry pool are assigned certain points for various factors such as age, education, and language skills and ranked against one another. An Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence is given to the highest-ranking candidates.
